#SUREFIRE WARDEN REVIEW SERIES#

The finish and quality of this product are excellent. I was pleasantly surprised when I received this hand guard and installed it. Especially if its a well engineered product like most of the stuff Sig produces. It's rare to buy an part or accessory that meets or exceeds the quality put into the original product. I can't imagine making a hand guard that's incompatible with suppressors for a gun that's basically built to be suppressed. Thankfully, no baffle strike resulted, but it caused rounds to keyhole about 2 feet low and right at 15 yards. The collar makes contact with the inner surface of the hand guard, which prevents the suppressor from locking correctly. The Sandman is not especially wide and neither is the locking collar.

You can not run a Rattler in 5.56 suppressed, the Canebrake is not compatible with the 5.56 conversion, nor can you change the flash suppressor on the 5.56 conversion, so this is a great option for us Canebrake Rattler owners! I’ve owned many MI Industries product, and I’ve never been disappointed!ģ of 3 people found the following review helpful:ĭescription says it's incompatible with Sig Suppressors, but it doesn't work with Dead Air Sandman models and I would not expect it to work with any suppressor that uses a locking collar. I bought this shorter version to use until my suppressor shows up, and/or when I want to run my 5.56 conversion. The fit and finish of this rail is on par with the extended Canebrake rail my Rattler came with. It's a solid product, just not designed with suppression in mind.Ĭraig Rathman from Bloomfield Hills, MI United States The additional rail section also allows the front BUIS to be moved forward freeing up more rail section for a tape switch. Not only does it look better but the position of the MLOK slots allow a light to be mounted closer to the bore which is what I prefer.
#SUREFIRE WARDEN REVIEW UPGRADE#
With that said, this rail is enough of an upgrade over the OEM that its WORTH purchasing a 6.75" 300 BLK barrel for the rattler just to use it. Patrick from Communist Oblast of Washington StateĮven with the MI collar the OSS suppressor will hit the inside of the hand guard due to the hexagonal base. Would not allow me to run my Silencerco Omega 30 or my 7.62SDN6 suppressors. Well made product and MI was kind enough to accept my return, but it needs to be shortened or widened. Unfortunately it's a little too long compared to the Sig handguard and so my Surefire Warden is no longer attachable with the Surefire SOCOM flash hider I had installed.Ġ of 0 people found the following review helpful:ĪDAM M.
